The Echo of life

I always find this story very inspiring. Whenever i read it, it motivates me to keep going in the right direction. I strongly believe in the moral of this story.

A man and his son were walking in the forest. Suddenly the boy
trips and feeling a sharp pain he screams, “Ahhhhh.”

Surprised, he hears a voice coming from the mountain, “Ahhhhh.”

Filled with curiosity, he screams, “Who are you?” but the only
answer he receives is: “Who are you?”

This makes him angry, so he screams, “You are a coward!” and
the voice answers, “You are a coward!”

He looks at his father asking, “Dad, what is going on?”

“Son,” he replies, “pay attention!” Then he screams, “I admire you!”

The voice answers, “I admire you!”

The father shouts, “You are wonderful!” and the voice answers,
“You are wonderful!”

The boy is surprised, but still can’t understand what is going on.

Then the father explains, “People call this ‘ECHO’ but truly it is
‘LIFE!’ Life always gives you back what you give out! Life is a mirror
of your actions. If you want more love, give more love!

If you want more kindness, give more kindness! If you want
understanding and respect, give understanding and respect. If you
want people to be patient and respectful to you, give patience and
respect! This rule of nature applies to every aspect of our lives.”

Life always gives you back what you give out. Your life is not
a coincidence, but a mirror of your own doings.

  1. Great story. But I also think that life is not always fair to everyone. Many people have do suffer consequences which they do not deserve. Take for instance women living in our feudal system.. or children who die in gutters of poverty. I wonder what do they give out to life to deserve such a fate?!

  2. Well you are right about the women in the feudal system and poverty Samah but i find my experience quite similar to this one, so i believe that somehow the life gives you back what you gave it. Though it takes time and you might not always realize it :) Thanks for dropping by friend ;) Keep visiting.

  4. u both r right.. indeed this is a great sharing and inspiration...

wht i think is, as we say and belive prayers r being heard, its not tht wise if we complain against somethng coz we dunno whts comng our way nxt moment. abt feudal system, and poverty issue, there are many other factors too which may come into count whn we talk abt a socity. if u r talking abt a whole, den there are ppl or factors who r responsible for such things. if its all about individual values, y do u forget the day of judgment and the rewards our Lord has offerd? THIS life is not sprt from the other. being muslim I belive, we Get wht we give, no mattr in which form and wht stage. and we GIVE wht we get, thers no audit on it.
    byee God bless
