I wish you enough

Well i have a little reader here, who (just like me) love to read some inspiring and motivational stuff. So from time to time i'll post some stories, passages which have motivated me, just for her :)Here's one of them

Recently, I overheard a Mother and daughter in their last moments together at a regional airport. They had announced her departure and standing near the security gate, they hugged and she said, "I love you. I wish you enough."

She in turn said, "Mom, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Mom."
They kissed and she left.

She walked over toward the window where I was seated. Standing there, I could see she wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on her privacy, but she welcomed me in by asking, "Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?"

"Yes, I have," I replied.

"Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?" I asked. "I am old and she lives much too far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is, the next trip back will be for my funeral," she said.

"When you were saying good-bye I heard you say, "I wish you enough." May I ask what that means?"

She began to smile. "That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone."

She paused for a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail, she smiled even more.

"When we said 'I wish you enough,' we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them," she continued.

Then, turning toward me, she shared the following as if she were reciting it from memory.

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.

I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.

I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.

I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.

I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.

I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.

I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye."

She then began to sob and walked away.

My friends, I wish you ENOUGH! :)

Tiny little angel or a miracle?

Kenadie Jourdin-Bromley, the smallest baby , known around the world as "The Littlest Angel", was born in Ontario, Canada, February 13 2003, weighing just 2 lbs 8 oz.
Her docs were not sure if she could survive but call it a miracle or anything, she did!

She continued to defy doctors' expectations, and at the age of 8 months Kenadie was finally diagnosed with primordial dwarfism, a genetic condition that is believed to affect only about 100 people in the world. Kenadie isn't expected to grow past about 30 inches or weigh more than 8 pounds.

But from the day Kenadie was born, her parents, Brianne and Court, refused to give up, saying, "We loved life right into her."

Indeed, they did. Kenadie now walks, runs, laughs, smiles and is beginning to talk. But, perhaps more importantly, it's the way Kenadie makes people feel that is her strongest achievement.

Well hats off to such parents...may Allah bless them and reward them in their life and hereafter. This video was so touchy that i felt like crying. May Allah bless this small angel, may she live long! Aameen :)

Shehzad Roy's Qismat apne haath mein

I was never a Shehzad Roy fan but lately his albums are good enough to get everyone's attention and i just love his videos, may it be romeo and Juliet inspired "Teri Soorat" or the most funny "Saali tu maani nahin" or the revolutionary and controversial "Laga reh" and now his latest and my current most favourite "EK baar". I just love this song. And my another favourite from this album is "Aankhein". This is for sure one of the best albums from Pakistan, this year.

Here is the video, Enjoy! ;)

Our Attitude

Another inspiring story i read...
This is the story of a woman who didn't like her job at all because of the way her co-workers treated her. She decided to quit, and on the day that was to be her last day, she woke up happy, looking forward to leaving the job. She went to work feeling happy, and acting happy.

Amazingly enough, her co-workers responded to her new attitude by reflecting back to her a similar attitude, one that was very pleasant to her. She had been miserable at work all that time because she had gone to work with a negative attitude, and her co-workers responded by treating her in the same way she was acting. With this new perspective, though, she enjoyed her day at work, and she ended up staying there and working for a very long time.

I have a simple way of looking at other people's treatment now--a person did something unpleasant to me either because they wanted to hurt me or because they weren't aware that their action was hurtful. In the first case, I don't want to allow someone who is low enough to want to hurt someone else affect my peace of mind. In the second case, if it was unintentional then there's no need to feel bad about it. In both cases, I can hold on to my own peace of mind simply because of my attitude concerning their actions.

Our positive attitudes can grow beyond ourselves and affect the rest of the world in very positive ways. And as we affect the world positively, that positive glow will reflect right back at us, and life will hold that shine that we know inside it should hold.

Inspiring enough to change our attitudes from now onwards...don't you think like that? ;)

Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry restored as Chief Justice of Pakistan

Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani announced on Monday to restore the deposed Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry.

According to well-placed sources, the deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry will assume charge as chief justice of Pakistan on March 22. The current chief justice Abdul Hameed Dogar retires on March 21.

The majority party will be asked to form the government in Punjab once the governor’s rule was lifted, the sources said.

Now let's see where it takes our country. To lesser issues as they have been crying out or to more bigger issues between the government and the judiciary. May Allah bless Pakistan and the common people of Pakistan.

Akshay Kumar's 'Blue'

'Blue' is reportedly one of the most expensive (Rs.1.29 billion) Bollywood film ever made. The film also boasts of the maximum number of underwater scenes in a Bollywood film. The movie stars Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Zayed Khan, Suniel Shetty, Katrina Kaif, Lara Dutta, Kylie Minogue and Rahul Dev. The music of 'Blue' is by double Oscar-winning composer A R Rahman. Australian Pop star Kylie Minogue will sing for A R Rahman, and will be featured in a promotional video for 'Blue'.

The movie will release in August, 2009.
Sounds interesting..I hope it doesn't end up like other bollywood big budget flops. Let's wait and watch friends ;)

Frustrated Feelings

I am really pissed off at someone right now. Why do we let people treat us like...ANYTHING! Why do we do that to ourselves? And the worse we do is, we stop valuing us just because someone else don't think we are WORTH anything!
I am just getting sick and tired of all this! I don't want to take it anymore. I don't want to feel worthless every passing day of my life! I just want to do something to feel better and insha Allah i will do that soon. Guess it's time to get a new job or hit the gym.
For my readers please keep me in your prayers :)

The Echo of life

I always find this story very inspiring. Whenever i read it, it motivates me to keep going in the right direction. I strongly believe in the moral of this story.

A man and his son were walking in the forest. Suddenly the boy
trips and feeling a sharp pain he screams, “Ahhhhh.”

Surprised, he hears a voice coming from the mountain, “Ahhhhh.”

Filled with curiosity, he screams, “Who are you?” but the only
answer he receives is: “Who are you?”

This makes him angry, so he screams, “You are a coward!” and
the voice answers, “You are a coward!”

He looks at his father asking, “Dad, what is going on?”

“Son,” he replies, “pay attention!” Then he screams, “I admire you!”

The voice answers, “I admire you!”

The father shouts, “You are wonderful!” and the voice answers,
“You are wonderful!”

The boy is surprised, but still can’t understand what is going on.

Then the father explains, “People call this ‘ECHO’ but truly it is
‘LIFE!’ Life always gives you back what you give out! Life is a mirror
of your actions. If you want more love, give more love!

If you want more kindness, give more kindness! If you want
understanding and respect, give understanding and respect. If you
want people to be patient and respectful to you, give patience and
respect! This rule of nature applies to every aspect of our lives.”

Life always gives you back what you give out. Your life is not
a coincidence, but a mirror of your own doings.

Sunday Ramblings

It was a quite Sunday morning, i woke up to found the house as we left it, messy. I don't like my house without my parents, they are out of town right now. When they are here i complain about the full volume of television and tease them about it but when they are not here i miss them and their noises like anything.
I miss you both! :)
Insha Allah they'll be back soon so no worries ;)

PS: Special thanks to someone special.
